Exercise #5: (Searching for Internet Images of the correct size)
1. Open Photoshop, Open<Fine Arts Server<mnovotny<Graphic Design<
Your assigned # (Collaborative Image)
2. Your image will have 2 already existing images on either side.
4. When using GOOGLE, use ADVANCED SEARCH, look at image size
(the higher the K value the better quality the image will be)
5. Images should relate in some way to the existing images--try to blend, mesh, layer, and manipulate them together
6. Copy/Paste or Drag and Drop an image into the document
7. If you have to resize image and it becomes PIXELLATED--than it was not big enough to be used
appropriately--select another larger size image --YOU MUST HOLD DOWN SHIFT WHEN
TRANSFORMING IMAGE SO IT REMAINS THE SAME PROPORTION AND DOES NOT DISTORT
(Transform = command + T)
8. Adjust, manipulate, “PHOTOSHOP” the images together--utilizing all the functions AND MORE
of the program
9. Be creative--you should have a very successful composition--A DIGITAL ARTWORK--
designed well as a result of your efforts
10. Produce an interesting image--SAVE AS<“yourname-exercise5.psd” in GRAPHIC DESIGN FOLDER
under COLLABORATIVE IMAGE as “yourname#.psd” (# of image--so they can be printed and placed in order)
